 | A. THE CALL OF GOD
1. The Societas "ICM -- once approved by the Church -- becomes a state of life,
a state of a "mutual and full" life, stable and lasting life; a "status
perfectionis", a "status Perfectae Caritatis".
Those few people called and chosen by God in the Society belong to the very holiness of
the Church; at the same time, as apostles, they dedicate themselves to the building of the
Church according to their particular talents and capabilities (LG. 43 & Essential
Elements).
This special divine vocation in the ICM is regarded as gratuitous, personal, unique gift
of God whom He loves freely (P.C.5) though unmerited, and only out of His love and for the
love of His people (P.C.5), cipma!

 | B. RESPONSE: THE CONSECRATED LOVE OF
ICM
2. a. To follow Christ through, with, and in Mother Mary
|
 | - becomes a supreme law (P.C.2a; L.G.39,43b...)
|
 | - to response to God's call and acceptance of God's gift
|
 | - to readily follow Him closely (E.T.7)
|
 | - to be in particular, the Consecrated love in Incarnatio
|
 | - and such consecrated love in "Incarnatio" is
integral, that encompasses one's whole life! Soul, body, heart, feeling....total being;
ready to carry the Cross; to be chaste, obedient, poor, aversio a
creaturis....(P.C.5,6,...; I John 4:10) and "conversio ad Deum".
b. Animated by the same spirit of fraternal charity in one same religious family, the
members of ICM are requested to live in the spirit of freedom and equality of the children
of God. There is no difference of rank and distinction among them, in spite of various
functions, capacities and professional qualifications that affect them.
3. A motto of ICM is : "Unitas in diversitate consistit". This religious
philosophy is a kind of pluralism in the way of the ICM life which would foster
"l'epanousissement de soi-meme" and bountiful initiatives. Yet it is not a sort
of uniformity which stiffens and "sclerosize" spiritual and apostolic
activities.
Love will come upon everything and unites all in all. Love is a "Vinculum
Perfectionis" (St. Paul). |
